I have to be honest when I say, I'm not a big fan of beauty boxes. When I started blogging, I signed
up for Glossybox and although I thought it was a great idea to have a surprise box delivered each month, I was often disappointed with the content. I do not disrespect Glossybox because I liked receiving the boxes, I just give my honest opinion when I say that I do not think they were good value for money and for this reason, I have canceled my subscription.
That being said, I have never reviewed other subscriptions to the beauty set because I did not want to risk signing up and being disappointed again. However, when I was contacted by Beautecobox a while ago and asked if I wanted to try their July box *, I couldn't say no. After reading the concept behind their box and seeing the products to win, it was an offer too good to be missed. Unlike other beauty boxes, Beauteco offers its subscribers a "menu" each month which gives them the possibility of choosing not one, not two but three different boxes. Each box contains a different mix of products so you can choose the one that suits your tastes and needs, which is a really thoughtful touch. To top it off, the box in which the products arrive is 100% recyclable and the products inside contain ingredients that are also biodegradable safely. Yep, for an ecological beauty box!
I decided to opt for the menu two of the July options and the content is very impressive because four of the five products I received are in full size. The four full-size products include Neal & Wolf Elevate Volumizing Lotion (RRP £ 11.95), Neal & Wolf Harmony Intensive Care (RRP £ 12.95), Art Deco Shadow Base (RRP £ 8) and Art Deco Soft Kajal Lining Liner (RRP £ 6.75). Add all this plus the 10 ml sample of Pukka Radiance serum (RRP £ 6.40) and this box is worth £ 46.05, more than three times the £ 10 plus £ 2.95 p & p for this box.
I have in fact not tried any of the products I received apart from the eyeliner which is fabulous but I intend to make individual reviews when I have had the chance to try them all thoroughly. I will say one thing though: Neal & Wolfe hair products smell incredibly good and as a hair care lover I am so excited to try them. I love the dark purple and cream packaging and the bottles are huge! I am also intrigued by the eyeshadow primer because it is not a product I never think of using so it will be interesting to see if it makes my eyeshadow last a little longer. Pukka Serum also looks fabulous - anything that has the word “shine” in the name will most likely do me a lot of good. Who likes to inject their skin with a healthy glow?
Since beautecobox was only launched in May, I am very impressed by their philosophy, their service and the concept behind this box. If I could choose to subscribe to a beauty box now, it would be at the top of my list. You can find out more here if you want to subscribe and get your hands on the July box. Keep an eye out for my full reviews of the products I received too - I can't wait to try them!
What do you think of the beautecobox? Is there one that you would be tempted to try?
